So, I am finally going to make my return to the Midwest in 3 days. I am super excited to see everyone, but terrified of the cold that I will be experiencing. I have become a baby to any type of cold weather since being out in San Diego, and I really don't know if I can deal with temps that are in the negatives anymore. I have decided that I am just going to need to be buzzed during my entire trip home to keep me from fully experiencing the frigid cold of MN. However, knowing me and my friends, being buzzed the whole time is not going to be a difficult task. I have already made a mental list of things I need to do and places I need to go while I am in town, so here it is....
1. Brothers. I don't know if the Brothers in Minneapolis has the same specials as the one in Madsion, but if it does I will be there on Thursday night shoved in a corner booth playing quarters and drinking games with $2 pitchers of Bud Light the whole night.
2. Qdoba. Unfortunately, San Diego does not have both a Qdoba and Chipotle witin about 15 ft. of one another and I have been forced to only eat Chipotle if I am looking for fake Mexican food, and even though they are hundreds of real mexican food places out here that are open 24 hrs (since we are so close to Mexico) I still want to wander into a Qdoba at around 4 in the morning and order a naked burritto. Then, I want to distract the cashier as they check me out and steal some of the delicous cookies, and then go and pile an array of hot sauces into my bag and run off.
3. And while I am on the topic of drunken cleptomania, I would really like to try and find a Silver Mine's. Even though I may have to make a trip up to Madison for this one, because I may actually get in trouble if I pull the stealing antics I normally do at any Silver Mine where Josh is not the manager and where he overlooks the things we take because we bring him beers while hes workiing.
4. Honeyweiss. Although I have really started to love the pear smoothies I drink every day when I get off work, I really miss all of the Leinenkugel's beer, esp. Honeyweiss! I will definitely need to go to a bar and order Honeyweiss all night and just sit and enjoy its amazingness. However, what would be even better than actually drinking Honeyweiss would be to take a trip to Madison with Gina, wander into Amy's for half price drinks, say what up to B-Rad, and ask him for a Honeyweiss so that he can look at us in anger and remind us that we come to Amy's EVERY day of the weekend and ask for Honeyweiss and he tells us EVERY time that they do not have it haha.
5. Perkins. This is for sure at the top of the list. I want to wake up really hungover one morning and go to perkins with everyone so that I can get an omellette and pancakes and we can be extremely loud as we go over the events from the night before. Although Doll does not work at the Perkins in MN, I am almost positive that the Perkins there will have servers that are just as amazing. From what I remember of last winter break in MN, the Perkins in Edina what quite the place to be...you know you are at a great restaurant when you show up in black tights and heels with a long white De-Ja-Vue t-shirt as a dress and no one looks at you like you are crazy.
6. And finally, if I can find the time, money, and people to make a little trip up to Madison I will obviously be going to State St. Brats. O the memories I have from that place! It may not be the same as it once was because most of the employees I have made out with have moved on and no longer give me cheap drinks, I am still sure that it would be just as great as I remember. I know I would go right to the big booth in the corner, park myself there with many pitchers of beer and cups for quarters and drink there for about 8 straight hours...I cannot think of anything better.
There is the list I have compiled so far. I just realized that everything has to do with drinking, so it is going to be very easy for my plan of being buzzed the whole time to work. So, I can't wait to get back in 3 days and to start getting everything on the list done....im so excited for the debauchery that is about to take place!!!

and the blurb about perkins actually made me laugh out loud. if i can relive you and your vu at perk this year, i will consider the visit a success!
We failed miserably at that list, Krestch... BUT we did witness many other KK signature moments. Like you stealing things, peacing on New Year's to pop up three hours later, absurd texting, and recovery movie nights/binge sessions. Let's call it a draw, and demand perfection next year?
I guess we can call it a draw because I did get lots of Honeyweiss and a Perkins visit (even tho I think I would like to forget it) too. But one question....what did I steal? Im assuming it was something on new years so obviously I have NO idea haha
